At Bureche School, English is taught as part of a comprehensive bilingual education programme. We have foreign teachers from countries such as the United States, Canada and England who not only teach the language, but also enrich our students with diverse cultural exposure.
In addition, we use standardised tests in English, such as the MAP tests in grades three through ten and the PSAT/SAT in the upper grades, to assess academic progress across the curriculum.
This combination of language instruction and rigorous assessment ensures that our students are not only bilingual, but can also compete academically in both languages.
Although the main focus of our bilingual programme is English, at Bureche School we also value the teaching of other languages such as French. Through active methodologies and trilingual projects, we adapt learning to the pace and style of each student, fostering an environment where multilingualism is an essential part of our educational approach.
Our students learn English and French with native or highly qualified teachers, ensuring authentic and contextualised teaching.
We administer standardised tests such as MAP, PSAT and SAT in English, as well as assessments in French, to measure linguistic and academic progress.
We implement project-based learning and dynamic methodologies for students to develop their language skills in real-life contexts.
We expose students to the culture of English and French speaking countries through events, exchanges and activities that reinforce their global understanding.

Strengthening English in a dynamic and diverse environment.
At Bureche School, language learning begins in Pre-School with fun and immersive activities that help students to develop their vocabulary and improve their pronunciation in a natural way. Through songs, games and interactive dynamics, children become familiar with the structure of languages in a fun and effective way.
In Primary, we strengthen the development of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Oral expression and comprehension are encouraged through readings, guided conversations and projects that connect the language to real situations. In Bachillerato, the focus is on argumentation, critical analysis and advanced written production, preparing students for international certifications and providing them with the necessary skills for a globalised academic and professional environment.
