At Bureche School, the emotional education programme is designed to foster the holistic development of students from their earliest years. The institution incorporates the renowned RULER approach, developed by Yale University, to work on essential social-emotional skills such as recognising, understanding, expressing and regulating emotions.
This programme includes practical tools such as the Emotional Agreement and the Emotional Meter, which promote well-being and a positive classroom environment.
Recognising one's own and others' emotions
Understanding the causes and consequences of emotions
Naming emotions appropriately
Expressing emotions appropriately and freely
Managing emotions effectively
At Bureche School, students learn to regulate their emotions through the RULER programme, with a practical and continuous approach. In the classroom, teachers implement tools such as the ‘Emotional Meter’, which allows them to identify the emotional state of students, and the ‘Meta-Moment’, a strategy to manage intense emotional reactions and make decisions aligned with their values.
This learning is complemented by the accompaniment of school psychologists, who work in individual and group sessions to strengthen emotional self-regulation, stress management and conflict resolution, adapting to the needs of each child.
